The Café Gene Has Landed

This is a brand new coffee roaster to the world. For probably the
first time it has hit Europe before the US, which is amazing, and Has
Bean are pleased to be able to offer it to you.
Its capacity is up to 300g at a time, and is completely
controllable during the roast. There are two dials, one for the
temperature and one for the time. At any time you can adjust these to
raise or lower time and or temperature. And how do you know how much
time is left or what the temperature is? Well just look at the digital
display which lets you know both during the roast.
It works on a hybrid of drum and hot air roaster. Its off axis
rotation system which agitates the beans and forces hot air through the
drum to roast the beans. At all times you can see exactly what is
happening in the drum, so at all times you can see your desired roast
level.
Because of its adjustably this 230-240v will work well in the UK and mainland Europe.

The past year has been a very special one for me, and its all been
down to your support, and from many of you your friendship. It’s
certainly been the most exiting since we started, being able to go to
origin in Nicaragua and Bolivia was awesome and something that made me
think much more about this thing called coffee. It also led to us
finding some of the best coffee’s we have ever had.

We have some very exiting developments for 2006 which I’m sure will
make Has Bean even better for you, I’m really exited about it. Keep
